New Year's Eve

Wellington was wet for days, actually NZ has been pretty wet for most of the summer.  On a windy cool new year's eve we headed out to Eastbourne for a walk and to look at a possible house to buy.   That evening the fireworks were cancelled, the wind and rain lashed the windows and no-one made it past 11pm! Rock n roll!

December 2011 - Sailing - Bay of Many Coves

Mum and Andrew arrived in NZ on the 10th and they headed off to the S. Island a few days later to explore the sights and we met them in Blenheim on the 23rd December to go sailing round the Marlborough Sounds.

We hired a boat, 27 foot, the Zachery Hicks and a bach in the Bay of Many Coves.  We spent five days enjoying the glorious sunshine, rather erratic wind and scenery.  Stunning.

Our bach - Wahoki

Jackie and Willy came and visited us for two days.  Very lovely to see them. - Christmas Eve

Mum and Folly fascinated by the dolphins.  Folly nearly fell of the bench, started shaking with excitement and would have happily jumped in if she had not been tied on securely!

Proof that Mum went swimming!
