Christmas with Gran and Grandaddy

We had a quiet Christmas in wet windy Wellington, patiently waiting for Granny and Grandad to arrive.

We had our second Christmas Day opening presents. Arthur received a tool box, including a noisy drill that he refused to be parted from for weeks, and was a very spoilt boy.

After a few days in Wellington , we braved severe weather warnings and crossed over the Rimutaka Pass to reach Greytown. We spent a quiet evening there before heading up to sunny Hawkes Bay where we explored the vineyards, beaches and beautiful countryside.

Craggy Range. Lovely setting, delicious food and a very well behaved Arthur made for a very special long lunch.

Finally, possibly not worth a post of its own but still had to be uploaded . Arthur returns from nursery in some nice pink girly clothes ! He did not look impressed .

Christmas Day

After gale force winds last night and a dismal forecast, we woke to a glorious Wellington day.

We had a light breakfast and headed over the hill, once back, we opened presents accompanied by smoked salmon and Verve.

Arthur decided he wants to walk so we let him down from the back pack. Respite for Eduardo, however what he really wants to do is dawdle and dig in the ground with the walking stick and tantrums ensue when we try to take the stick away.

Present opening time!!
